Epigenetic landscape is a model introduced by Conrad Hal Waddington that tries to explain the development into different directions depending on environmental or epigenetic factors. The model is a 3D landscape as depicted here where a model ball rolls downhill.
I created a similar landscape superimposed trigonometric functions like this.

This mathematical construct better complies the fauceir concept of control. Control being excerted by gravity in this model. Well this is only a model for visualization. The rules of gravity's impact on fauceir control is as strong as any other force, but gravity is something all people are aware of, and so it might create a stark imagination of control in a multidimensional system.
