Devolution Definition

Devolution describes the oposite of evolution a process that leads to decreased complexity and adaptability.

This process is typical of organisms that live in social compounds either with individuals of their own species or as symbiosis with other species. Thus devolution is often a specialization of a species that often brings about evolutionary progress of the master fauceir.

  1. Domestication and breeding of pets
  2. Most insects that live in colonies loose their ability of sexual reproduction.
  3. A still controversial concept is the shrinking of human brain with the advent of human societies.
