Last summer I observed a bustling ant colony with an impressive anthill. This year at this place I found a hole filled with soft debris. The colony was gone, and the convexity transformed into a concavity.

What can teach this little story?
- Anthills although rising well above the ground contain many cavities that collapse when the framework that keeps them open is not maintained.
- Every fauceir has its limited life span. That applies to social fauceirs too.
